Stout 414: Peter Nostrand of Isaac T. and Charity (Voorhees) Nostrand, b. 21 August 1827 and m. Sarah Van Wicklen. He has been in business in Brooklyn many years. No issue. (But 1860 census shows son, Everett A. 7/12)

1870 US Census, Brooklyn Ward 7, Kings, NY - Jacob Van Wicklen, 31, stationer, Mary, wife, 30, keeping house and William, 8, and Frederick, 5, both at school. 

1880 Federal Census: 547 Willoughby Ave., Brooklyn - Jacob 45, Mary A. 41, William H. 18, Frederick A 14, Edward C. 10. All are listed as b. NY and parents b. NY. Jacob's occupation is listed as Milk Route, Mary keeps house, and William drives a milk wagon. Frederick and Edward are "at school."

Brooklyn Eagle 16 October 1888, p. 5 Milk flowing in the street. The wagon of Jacob Van Wicklen, a milkman, of 389 Court street, while being driven by its owner through First place yesterday morning, collided with some building material and was upset, throwing Mr. Van Wicklen and 100 quarts of milk to the roadway. Mr. Van Wicklen escaped injury, but lost on his milk and wagon, $18.
